A mid-height collar seamlessly integrates 3D-molded D3O® protection on the medial and lateral sides to provide extra support and keep your ankles safe from side-impacts. We’ve also integrated D3O® padding top-of-foot for impact protection.

Product Performance

Different terrain and riding styles can benefit from specific shoe features. Grip, protection, weight, and breathability are all factors that can affect your on-bike experience.

Level 4 Flex provides a strong power transfer to the pedal, support for long descents, and enough compliance for a secure pedal connection while offering a small amount of trail feedback.

Our medium volume last can accommodate a vast range of foot shapes, but an average volume foot will be most comfortable. Larger feet will be comfortable sizing a half-size up.

Men’s Tallac Mid BOA® '24

These shoes run not only wide, but can accommodate a very large foot. I have never bought anything but normal sized shoes. These are so big that the boa cannot snug the shoe up around my foot. I love the design, it just doesn't work for me.

Men’s Tallac Mid BOA Review

The good: Seems like a well built, quality bike shoe. The BOA system works great. Really wanted to like these.

The Bad: These did not fit my feet well. I'm a typical size12 in all shoes, but these were too narrow and hurt my toes and sides of my feet. I do not typically have to buy wide shoes but I would have to have a wider size in these. Also they hit my ankle bone in a bad spot and were not comfortable as a mid shoe.

Great protection

Was looking for a shoe that would offer some good protection in the toe box and I found it. Super beefy toe but still a lightweight shoe in a mid height. Grippy sole and all.
